IPL 2021 Auction: Full List Of Players Bought By Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore bought 8 players in IPL 2021 auction. The Virat Kohli-led side had Rs. 35.90 crore available salary cap ahead of the auction. RCB retained 12 players in their squad for IPL 2021. The 2016 runners-up RCB released 10 players out of their squad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had 13 available slots in the team, however, they only bought 8 players in the auction. RCB went ahead to buy three overseas players and five Indian players. RCB utilised most of their funds in IPL 2021 auction as they spent Rs. 35.05 crore in the event.
Kyle Jamieson and Glenn Maxwell were the biggest two buys for RCB. The franchise bought New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson for Rs. 15 crore and Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 16.25 crore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore reached playoffs in IPL 2020, however, they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eliminator game which ended their journey in the tournament.
For IPL 2021, the owners decided to release 10 players out of the team. They were Chris Morris, Shivam Dube, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn, Moeen Ali, Parthiv Patel, Pawan Negi, Isuru Udana and Gurkeerat Mann.
The franchise also decided to retain 12 players in the team. Along with skipper Virat Kohli, RCB agreed to retain AB de Villiers, Devdutt Padikkal, Mohammad Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Joshua Phillipe, Pavan Deshpande, Shahbaz Ahmed, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson.
