India’s young flamboyant batsman Mohammed Azharuddeen has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 20 Lakh in the IPL 2021 Auction held on Friday. Azharuddeen’s base price was 20 Lakh rupees and he was bought at his base price itself. RCB have already bought Glenn Maxwell in the auction.

Mohammed Azharuddeen grabbed all the headlines in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year. He scored a scintillating ton against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. Azharuddeen scored his century from 37 balls, the second-fastest in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and joint-third fastest by an Indian batsman.

Mohammed Azharuddeen Bought By Royal Challengers Bangalore

Azharuddeen has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs. 20 Lakh. He had been listed at a base price of Rs 20 Lakh itself. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who plays for Kerala in domestic cricket and has been one of their quintessential batsmen over the year.

He made his first-class debut on 15 November 2015 in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy. He made his List A debut on 10 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 January 2016 in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was among one of the hottest topics going into the auction this year. After his knock, he had become the centre of the headline.
