Seven years after Sachin Tendulkar last represented Mumbai Indians, his son Arjun will be donning the blue and gold for the most successful franchise in the history of the competition after the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians claimed the services of a fast-bowling all-rounder in the IPL 2021 Auction.

Arjun Tendulkar was the last player that went under the hammer in the IPL 2021 Auction and he went to the Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 20 Lakh.

The left-arm medium fast-bowling all-rounder, who represented Mumbai in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, raised his stake after he hammered a 31-ball 77 besides claiming 3/41 for MIG Cricket Club in the 73rd Police Invitation Shield Tournament earlier this month.

Arjun Tendulkar made his U-19 debut for India in the Youth Test series against Sri Lanka back in 2018. He has also represented U-19, U-16, and U-14 teams in the past.

During the 2017-18 Cooch Behar Trophy, Arjun claimed 19 wickets in 5 matches which included two five-wicket hauls.
