Brian Lara Worried About Mumbai Indians

Speaking to Star Sports, Brian Lara said that Mumbai Indians will face issues on their new venue as they will be low on confidence after a poor show in IPL 2021 so far.

“I mean, it’s such a tournament that it’s so hard to say. I think the teams that are winning, like RCB, they will go to every venue with confidence. I think teams without confidence will see venues as a problem, they would see pitches as a problem,” Brian Lara said.

The former West Indies cricket legend Lara also mentioned that he is worried about Mumbai Indians as they will play at a sluggish venue like Delhi.

“I’m worried about Mumbai Indians. They are now going to another venue, which again, is a bit sluggish. How are they going to perform? I’m very, very worried about the double champions,” Lara further said.

Mumbai Indians are facing a big issue in their batting department. In the last 5 matches, Mumbai Indians did not manage to cross the 160-run mark while batting. Mumbai Indians’ middle-order has continuously failed to perform in IPL 2021 so far.

They won two games against Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad while defending a low total. Bowlers like Rahul Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Trent Boult have managed to do a great job but batting has been an issue for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021.
