The official Twitter handle of the Royal Challengers Bangalore has announced that the Virat Kohli-led franchise has retained as many as 12 players while letting go of the rest.
The players who have been retained ahead of the next month’s auction include the superstar duo of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, swashbuckling opener Devdutt Padikkal, who had a breakout season last year.
The notable exclusions from the squad include Australian white-ball skipper Aaron Finch, England all-rounder Moeen Ali, spinner Pawan Negi, seam-bowling all-rounder Shivam Dube, fast bowler Chris Morris, middle-order batsman Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and the pace-bowling duo of Isuru Udana and Umesh Yadav.
