IPL 2021: Complete Schedule Of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) For The Tournament

BCCI has announced the dates for IPL 2021 and the tournament is set to entertain fans from next month. The first match will be played on April 9, 2021. Due to the Covid 19 situation, only six venues have been finalized to host all the matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play the first match of the tournament against Mumbai Indians.

The final match of IPL 2021 will be played on May 30 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Spectators will not be allowed in the initial matches but a decision will be taken during the later stage of the tournament to allow the spectators inside the stadiums.

Ahead of IPL 2021 auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore released 10 players from their squad. Chris Morris, Shivam Dube, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn, Moeen Ali, Parthiv Patel, Pawan Negi, Isuru Udana, and Gurkeerat Mann were among the released players. The franchisee also retained 12 players in the squad.

Along with skipper Virat Kohli, RCB retained AB de Villiers, Devdutt Padikkal, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Joshua Phillipe, Pavan Deshpande, Shahbaz Ahmed, Adam Zampa, and Kane Richardson.

During IPL 2021 auction, bought Kyle Jamieson for Rs. 15 crores and Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 14.25 crore. Dan Christian was another big buy of Royal Challengers Bangalore at Rs. 4.8 crore. Sachin Baby, Rajat Patidar, Mohammed Azharudeen, Suyash Prabhudesai, and KS Bharat were picked up for Rs. 20 lakh each.

RCB has lost the IPL final three times in IPL 2009, 2013, and 2016. In the last edition, Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs. However, they lost the Eliminator Match to Sunrisers Hyderabad which ended their journey in the tournament.
