Cricket Australia has announced that there won’t be any interference from their side for the Australian players participating in IPL 2021 and have left it to their choice. This will be a massive boost to the IPL 2021 as 20 Players have contracts with IPL as of now and the franchises would be very delighted to know their availability.

The IPL 2021 is set to resume on September 19 in UAE and the tournament is set to kick off with a much-anticipated rivalry of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Delhi Capitals are currently sitting at the top of the table while Sunrisers Hyderbad is languishing at the bottom with 31 games to be played still. The completion of IPL will be followed by the T20 World cup in a few days’ time.

Cricket Australia’s Bold Decision To Leave It To The Players

Cricket Australia has made the right decision in leaving the choice to the players in taking part in the IPL 2021 when it resumes. Earlier there had been a lot of issues in the IPL 2021 in April when the Australian country restricted the people from India and eventually, it led to the players having stranded in some countries. But with now the tournament being shifted to UAE, it looks all good for the Australians.

Australia suffered yet another loss of a T20 series in Bangladesh and it was a bold decision from Cricket Australia to allow the big guns to take part in IPL rather than preparing for the T20 World cup. Marcus Stoinis, Steve Smith, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith. Kane Richardson, Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa are among the big names to take part in the second phase of IPL 2021.

Pat Cummins Unlikely To Feature In IPL 2021 Second Phase

Pat Cummins has made it clear that he is unlikely to take feature in the remaining part of IPL 2021. The Australian fast bowler was brilliant in the first half of the IPL 2021 picking up wickets at regular intervals and also showing his batting class down the order. He was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 IPL Auction.

Meanwhile, the IPL could act as the much-needed game time ahead of the T20 Worldcup for the players.
