The two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players began gathering in Kolkata for their pre-IPL 2021 edition training camp. Apart from players, the support staff of the KKR team has also begun arriving to prepare for the 14th edition of the IPL.

According to the latest BCCI SOPs, all the IPL 14 participants will go under the seven-day quarantine before stepping out on the field for starting training from next week. This meant that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have begun checking-in at ITC Grand Central Hotel for the mandatory week-long quarantine.

The IPL 2021 begins from April 9 onwards and the final will be played on May 30. The whole tournament will be played at six venues across the country- Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, which will also host the playoffs and the final of the IPL 14. Also, no teams will play a single match at their home grounds, given the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the country.
