The IPL 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals (DC) are currently in good form as they have won four out of their first five matches of this IPL 2021, including winning Super Over against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last game, while they have lost only once in this season.

Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw both are in good forms as the team management is confident good starts from them. Dhawan is currently the Orange Cap holder in this IPL 2021. While captain Rishabh Pant is bringing his best performances in critical situations, Australian cricketer Steven Smith just played two good innings. Their middle-order is yet to be tested properly.

Among the Delhi Capitals bowlers, pacer Avesh Khan has taken 11 wickets in this IPL 2021 while England pacer Chris Woakes and Indian veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra both have taken 5 wickets each in three matches. Also, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has picked up 4 wickets in four matches of this season. As Ravichandran Ashwin has returned to his home, Amit Mishra and Axar Patel will now play important roles in their spin-bowling line-up.

After recovering from COVID-19, Axar played their last game where he took two wickets (2/26) and became a hero in the Super Over by conceding only seven runs.

After winning all their first four matches of this IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) suffered a big defeat against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their previous game.

Captain Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, South African cricketer AB de Villiers and Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell all are in very good form with the bat at present. However, RCB middle-order batting still have to prove in the upcoming matches.

Harshal Patel is holding the Purple Cap of this IPL 2021 as he has picked up 15 wickets in five games of this season. Also, New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson has taken 6 wickets in five matches while Mohammed Siraj has collected 5 wickets in five games but he has impressed with his disciplined bowling performances. Apart from the last over against CSK, Harshal has bowled impressively in the death overs of this IPL season.

Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed all have taken 3 wickets each in this IPL 2021. However, Shahbaz hasn’t bowled a delivery since his game-changing three wickets in an over against SRH.
