IPL 2021, Match 23: CSK vs SRH – CSK Predicted Playing XI

Confident Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are now ready to face SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the forthcoming game at Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi) this Wednesday (28th April) night, which will be the 23rd game of the IPL 2021.

Currently, CSK have 8 points after playing five matches of this season. Though they lost against Delhi Capitals (DC) in this season opener, CSK then beat  Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Ruturaj Gaikwad

After the poor start in the IPL 2021, opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad is now improving as he scored 64 and 33 runs respectively in the last two games. The CSK team management is confident in this youngster who has proved himself by getting continuous opportunities.

Faf du Plessis

South African cricketer Faf du Plessis has scored 214 runs in five matches of this IPL 2021 with the help of two half-centuries as he is the best batsman for CSK in this season. After scoring a duck in their tournament opener, Faf scored 36*, 33, 95* and 50 runs respectively as he is taking major responsibility in the batting.

Moeen Ali

England cricketer Moeen Ali missed out on the last game but the all-rounder can be useful in Delhi. After playing four matches in the IPL 2021, Moeen has scored 133 runs and also scalped 4 wickets. The all-rounder has performed consistently in the early of this IPL season.

Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina started this IPL 2021 with a half-century as he scored 54 runs against Delhi Capitals. In their last match against RCB, Raina played a crucial cameo of 24 runs off 18 balls with the help of only four and 3 sixes. His form is going to be crucial for CSK in this IPL season.

Ambati Rayudu

The second most run-scorer for CSK in the IPL 2020, Ambati Rayudu is currently struggling in this IPL 2021 as he has scored 64 runs in four innings. His scores in this tournament are 23, 0, 27 and 14 runs respectively. He is another crucial batsman on this team.

MS Dhoni (C & wk)

Captain MS Dhoni has continued his smart and excellent captaincy by using his immense experiences in this game. However, everybody is still missing vintage Dhoni with the bat and he has made tougher choices by mostly sending himself lower down the order, especially when he hasn’t played many games since 2019 apart from participating in the IPL 2020.

Ravindra Jadeja

While CSK handed RCB a big defeat in their last game, which was also the first defeat for RCB in this IPL 2021, Ravindra Jadeja brought the one-man show in the entire game. Apart from scoring 62 not out off 28 balls (4 fours and 5 sixes), including hitting 36 runs (excluding no ball) to Harshal Patel in the last over of the first innings, Jadeja had bowling figures of 4-1-13-3 and also made one run-out. Even before that game, Jadeja was in good touch even in very limited opportunities.

Shardul Thakur

The right-arm pacer Shardul Thakur has taken 4 wickets in five matches of this IPL 2021. Though he has experienced some expensive overs in this IPL season, his bowling figures in the last game against RCB were 4-0-11-1.

Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar has picked up 8 wickets in five matches of this IPL 2021. Though he has managed to claim two four-wicket hauls in this season as he provided strong starts with the ball in both those games, he failed to pick up at least one wicket in the other three matches of this ongoing tournament.

Lungi Ngidi

South African pacer Lungi Ngidi has played one match in this IPL 2021 which was against KKR and he had bowling figures of 4-0-28-3. Due to that strong performance, he can make a comeback in the forthcoming match.

Imran Tahir

Veteran South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir played his first game of this IPL 2021 in their last game against RCB where he had bowling figures of 4-0-16-2. While Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi) has a very good record for the leg-spinners in the T20 format, Tahir can play a very crucial role in the CSK bowling line-up in the upcoming matches.
