Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have won the toss against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 26 of IPL 2021 and elected to bowl first in Ahmedabad. The 26th match of IPL 2021 is all set to take place between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Punjab Kings have had a shambolic start to the tournament this year as they are currently in the 6th position of the IPL 2021 points table. Punjab have so far played 6 matches in this season and have registered only a couple of wins. RCB, on the other hand, have been in absolutely fine form this season and have registered 5 wins out of the 6 games they have played.

IPL 2021, Match 26: Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)- Toss Report

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have won the toss against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 26 of IPL 2021 and elected to bowl first in Ahmedabad. As far as the teams are concerned, Punjab Kings’ batsmen have failed miserably leaving aside their skipper, KL Rahul. Chris Gayle’s bat has been relatively silent this year and his batting position has been debatable.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, have played like a team more than ever in this year’s IPL. Devdutt Padikkal has returned to form after stepping out of Chennai and there have been decent contributions from Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell. The bowling unit has also performed exceptionally well and Harshal Patel is currently holding the Purple Cap.

Dew Could Play An Important Role

Dew will once again play a very crucial role at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the first game of IPL 2021 at this venue between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, the dew had set in quite early in the first innings itself, and hence, winning the toss and fielding first could be a great option.

In the last game played by RCB at this venue between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the sandstorm at mid-innings played a crucial role in negating the dew factor.
