IPL 2021: Michael Vaughan Hails Ravindra Jadeja As India's Greatest-Ever Fielder

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan lavished praise on Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after his excellent fielding display for CSK in the match against Punjab Kings in match 08 of IPL 2021. He has always been a terrific contributor in the field and he has managed to affect a lot of run-out dismissals in his career.

His splendid show in the field helped CSK get the better of Punjab easily with six wickets in hand. CSK, who had lost the first game to Delhi Capitals, came back stronger in this game and it was a much-needed win for them to get their confidence back. Deepak Chahar’s four wickets for just 13 runs helped Punjab restrict to just 106 on the board in their first innings.

Michael Vaughan Reveals His Favorite Overseas Player

Michael Vaughan tweeted post the match between Chennai and Punjab and he referred to Ravindra Jadeja as his favourite overseas player at the moment. This was back of the marvellous fielding performance from Jadeja and also he bowled exceedingly well giving away just 19 runs in his four overs. He termed Jadeja as ‘India’s Greatest Ever’ which erupted the social media and wanted the franchises to build teams around him.

Jadeja’ Efforts On The Field

Ravindra Jadeja got the big fish KL Rahul in a run-out dismissal that changed the game completely. Gayle struck the fifth delivery of Deepak Chahar in the third over to the backward point and ran for a single. Jadeja collected the ball very quickly and castled the stumps with an accurate throw to dismiss KL Rahul which was the most important wicket. In addition to it, Jadeja also took a great diving catch to dismiss Chris Gayle and he made it look very easy which was a very tough catch.

Jadeja will certainly go down as one of India’s best fielders ever for his exploits in international cricket.
