The defending champions are currently 4th on the points table with 4 wins from 7 games and they will need to improve their performances in the remaining games.
They played most of their games in the first phase of the IPL at Chennai which proved to be very tough conditions for batting and it was a contrast to their batting-friendly wickets at the Wankhede. The defending champions have won five IPL titles already and they do know how to win titles from any stage. Rohit Sharma has captained the side exceedingly well and they boast the squad with some big names from world cricket.
Mumbai Indians Under Quarantine For The Last Two Weeks
The Mumbai Indians have already declared their interest to BCCI in reaching Dubai early for the preparations and according to the plans, the domestic players of the Mumbai Indians squad had been training at Ghansoli, The Reliance Park which is their own ground. Mahela Jayawardene has been the head coach of the side for the last few years and he has done an excellent job already.
The Mumbai players had been in quarantine for the last two weeks as they knew they would travel to UAE once they get the entry approved. There have been instructions from BCCI to the management for booking small hotel properties as it would enhance the complete usage of the hotel by the team. Even if they had to book large hotel properties, it would be inside a separate wing for each franchise.
