Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have won the toss against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the first match of IPL 2021 and elected to field first. The first match of IPL 2021 is all set to kick off at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at Chennai.
While Mumbai Indians will be playing without the services of their regular opener, Quinton de Kock as the South African batsman is currently under quarantine after returning from the home series against Pakistan. In such an event, Chris Lynn might be seen opening the innings alongside Rohit Sharma.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have won the toss against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the first match of IPL 2021 and elected to field first. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav will be seen playing for the Men in Blue. Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, and Krunal Pandya will stack up the middle-order of Mumbai Indians.

Virat Kohli will be opening for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2021. Devdutt Padikkal has been rested and Rajat Patidar will be seen opening alongside the Indian skipper. This year, RCB have added the likes of Mohammed Azharuddeen who had a phenomenal run in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year.

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are two of the biggest teams in the history of the IPL. While Mumbai Indians have won 5 IPL titles so far, RCB have failed to do so over the years despite boasting of a lot of superstars in their ranks. They have gone against each other in the IPL for a total of 27 times wherein, Mumbai have won 17 times, while RCB has won 10 times.

While Mumbai Indians will be looking to win their third title in a row, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be eyeing their maiden IPL title this year. All the eyes will be on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the two Indian stalwarts, who will lead their respective teams for 60 days of gruesome cricket.
