The Punjab Kings social media admin used a photo of Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal, both chest-naked, displaying their contrasting physique, to troll the Royal Challengers Bangalore after their 34-run victory over Virat Kohli’s side on Friday in Ahmedabad.

While Chahal is seen with a glinting smile, on his thin, slim body, Chirs Gayle is showing off his brawny muscles, tight abs, and broad chest, iced with a beaming smile after Punjab’s victory. The post said that the contrasting image of the two players’ physical attire encapsulated the game where the KL Rahul-led outfit dominated most part of it.

Chris Gayle, a former member of the RCB side, then moved to Punjab, but still shares a great camaraderie with his former teammates and had often been seen having fun with Chahal and Virat Kohli as well whenever they face off.

Chris Gayle takes the pressure off me at the top: KL Rahul

As Mayank Agarwal missed the games, it was expected that Chris Gayle would open alongside KL Rahul. Instead, it was young Prabhsimran Singh who came to bat at the top.

After Prabhsimran’s dismissal, the West Indian came at number 3, a position at which he has batted since last IPL season, and whacked the RCB bowlers for 46 runs from 24 balls changing the momentum in Punjab’s favor.

The skipper would then go on to laud the left-hander who “keeps getting better and better” with age. Rahul also spoke about how Chris Gayle’s presence at number 3 offloads pressure off him at the top.

“There is a lot written about Gayle, about his age and whether he should be playing. But I know as a captain, just his impact he has when he walks out is huge,” KL Rahul told host broadcaster Star Sports after the match.

“I have played with him for 7-8 years and he keeps getting better and better. He is batting at three, something he hasn’t done ever in his career, but he’ll do that for the team. That’s the kind of man Chris is. He takes the pressure off me at the top,” he added.

With the win on Friday, PBKS moves up to the 5th position in the points table; they will next take on the in-form Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
