Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings have confirmed their plans to land early in Dubai for the remaining part of the IPL that will be held in a month time or so. The IPL 2021 started off in India in the month of April, and the surge in Covid-19 cases resulted in the tournament being suspended at the midway.
BCCI later confirmed that the tournament will resume in UAE but the dates haven’t been scheduled yet. The schedule for the T20 Worldcup has been announced and it was also shifted from India to UAE. The schedule for the remaining part of the IPL is expected to be announced soon by the BCCI.

CSK CEO Expresses Interest Over Landing In Dubai Early
The CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan expressed his interest in landing in Dubai early even before the 20th of August and he stated that he is informed BCCI about it too. He hoped to get the permissions granted soon which will give enough time for CSK to prepare for the big tournament. The conditions will be different in UAE and Chennai faced the heat last year by not qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in their IPL history.
“We want to be there by August 15, latest by 20th and we have informed the BCCI that we want to be there by then. We are hoping to get the required permissions, without which, the logistical plans will be difficult to execute,” the CEO of CSK, Kasi Viswanathan, told Cricbuzz.

Delhi Capitals Join Hands With CSK On Reaching Dubai Early
Delhi Capitals who were the table-toppers at the end of the first phase of the IPL 2021 in India have also shown interest in reaching Dubai early for preparation. The Delhi side is set to welcome the return of their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer back to the squad after his shoulder injury and they do have a lot of stars in their lineup.

Delhi finished runners-up in the IPL 2020 and they will be looking to lift their maiden IPL title this time around.
