Rajasthan Royals pacer Jaydev Unadkat has said the atmosphere in RR camp is positive and their players are bonding really when under the bubble. Unadkat’s words come after Rajasthan Royals have lost few overseas players from the squad due to various reasons. However, Unadkat has stressed that players are coming together really well while living inside the bio-bubble.

Rajasthan Royals lost Jofra Archer in IPL 2021, as the England pacer was ruled out due to an elbow injury. Later, Ben Stokes injured his finger in the first match and had to leave the tournament for recovery.

Australia pacer Andrew Tye left IPL 2021 midway over fears of being locked out of his home country Australia. English player Liam Livingstone also left the tournament citing bio-bubble fatigue as the reason.

Players Are Bonding Really Well: Jaydev Unadkat

In an interview with Sports Today, Jaydev Unadkat said that there is a lot of positivity in the RR camp. The left-arm pacer said that due to living under the bubble, players are really bonding well.

“To be honest we are actually coming together really well, we are bonding really well because being in a bubble we are not supposed to talk to anyone or meet anyone from outside the team.

“So team room visits are a lot more frequent, we guys talk a lot more in the practice session as well and talking about our camp the atmosphere is still very positive, everyone takes each other’s decision positively,” Unadkat said.

Unadkat also said that in spite of the ouster of some players from the squad, the atmosphere is positive and he does not see a lot of negativity being spread around.

“The atmosphere is positive, I don’t see a lot of negativity being spread around. We are expected to perform there on the ground so negativity doesn’t help that.

We are getting to play the game which is in itself a blessing at the moment for all the first-class cricketers and players who are actually waiting to play cricket,” Jaydev Unadkat further said.
