England all-rounder Tom Curran has expressed his delight over getting picked up by Delhi Capitals in the IPL Auction 2021 and is super excited to learn from Ricky Ponting. Ponting is the head coach of Delhi Capitals right now and has brought a lot of improvements in the team taking them to their first IPL final last year in the 13 editions. Tom Curran was bought by the Delhi team after a bidding war with Hyderabad for 5.25 crore.

Tom Curran played for the Rajasthan Royals in the previous edition of IPL in UAE scoring 106 runs and has taken 9 wickets so far. All-rounder has a lot of experience playing for various franchises around the world in the T20 format and can be a handy death bowler with a lot of variations up his sleeve. He is most likely to be a backup all-rounder for Chris Woakes or Marcus Stoinis in the playing lineup.
