Punjab Kings will look to grab some powerful players during the IPL 2024 auction. The IPL 2024 auction will take place in Dubai on December 19. All the IPL franchises are gearing up for the mini-auction. Ahead of the auction, each franchise will have to submit their retention lists.
Punjab Kings failed to reach the playoffs in the last season. They finished in the 8th spot in the points table. Due to the team’s poor show last show, some players will be released from the side. 3. Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh is the first player on this list. Arshdeep Singh is the most crucial pacer for Punjab Kings. With 17 wickets, he finished as the highest wicket-taker for the team last season.
Over the last year, the left-arm pacer has also cemented his place in Team India’s T20I side. In 2023, he is the leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is. Arshdeep is an emerging pacer and releasing him from the squad would be considered a big fault.

2. Sam Curran
Sam Curran became a part of Punjab Kings in the last year’s auction. Punjab Kings spent a hefty amount to induct the England all-rounder into their squad. Curran also gave a decent performance in the season, picking 10 wickets and scoring 276 runs.
Curran is also an emering batsman for England in T20Is. With his left-arm pace attack, he gives variation to the pace attack. In the past, Sam Curran had many successful seasons with the Chennai Super Kings franchise.

Liam Livingstone is another crucial player for Punjab Kings. With his hard-hitting batting approach, Livingstone is a perfect batsman for T20 format. His ability to bowl is an added advantage.
In the 2023 season, the England all-rounder hit 279 runs in 9 games with 2 half-centuries. In the 2022 season, the right-handed batsman showed an impressive performance by smashing 437 runs with 4 half-centuries at a strike rate of 182+. It doesn’t look like Punjab Kings will part ways with him anytime soon.
