Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reunited with Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, and Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of the Test series against England. Ravindra Jadeja shared the picture with CSK teammates on his official social media on Saturday, January 20.

Ravindra Jadeja is preparing for the upcoming five-match Test series at home. Jadeja was excluded from the T20I series against Afghanistan, despite serving as the vice-captain of the T20 team in South Africa, where he contributed with two wickets and 23 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja shared a photo on Instagram featuring himself along with Shardul, Chahar, and Ruturaj at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Jadeja captioned the Instagram post with ‘6th one loading,’ hinting at Chennai Super Kings’ pursuit of a sixth title.

Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad is sidelined due to an injury sustained during the ODI series in South Africa. Shardul Thakur has been dropped from the Test squad for the upcoming series, and Deepak Chahar last played for India in the home T20I series against Australia.

Chennai Super Kings Purchased Six Players In IPL 2024 Auction

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings made six acquisitions during the Indian Premier League 2024 auction. The Chennai team purchased New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell for a whopping Rs14 crore. CSK also invested Rs 8.4 crore to acquire Sameer Rizvi.

The MS Dhoni-led team secured New Zealand’s batting all-rounder, Rachin Ravindra, who performed well in the ODI World Cup 2023, for Rs 1.8 crore. CSK purchased Shardul Thakur for Rs 4 crore, a player who played a vital role in the team’s title victory in 2021.

In the accelerated round, Chennai acquired left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh for Rs 2 crore. They added Avanish Rao Aravelly to their squad, securing him at the auction for Rs 20 lakh. The Super Kings entered the IPL auction with a purse of Rs 31.4 crore.

Shivam Dube recently expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and shared the impact of his IPL captain, MS Dhoni. He emphasized the constant learning from Dhoni, who has provided valuable insights into his game, boosting his confidence.

“It felt very good to get a good opportunity. I was keeping myself ready to not miss an opportunity. When I came to bat, I wanted to finish the match. I learned it from Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni), I wanted to finish the match well,” Dube was quoted as saying by India Today.

“I always keep talking to Mahi bhai. He is such a big legend. I always keep learning from him, by seeing him and observing him. He has told me a couple of things about my game. He always rates me, saying I play well. If he rates me, then that gives me motivation to keep playing well, because of which my confidence is very high.”
