Notably, on the same day Suryakumar Yadav himself posted a story on his Instagram with a broken-heart emoji, possibly expressing his disappointment over the decision made by the franchise.

Talking about Suryakumar Yadav, he was recently seen in action in the three-match T20I series against South Africa. He was handed the leadership responsibility in the absence of Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma.

The No.1 ranked T20I batsman delivered a brilliant performance in the series and won the Player of the Series award. The series ended in a 1-1 draw after the first game was washed out due to the rain.
