IPL 2024: KKR Squad, Team List, Players List, Released Players, Retained Players List, Captain, Vice Captain

All IPL franchises are gearing up for IPL 2024 auction, which is set to take place next month on December 19 in Dubai. During the mini-auction, there can be a few big changes in every team. Ahead of IPL 2024 auction, all the teams have been asked to prepare their retention lists.

Kolkata Knight Riders is a powerful team in IPL. The franchise has won the titles in two editions- IPL 2012 and IPL 2014. In the last season, they failed to reach the playoffs.

Shreyas Iyer is the current skipper of KKR. However, since he was absent last season due to injury, Nitish Rana led the team in the tournament. Iyer will be back in the 2024 edition to lead the team.

KKR has appointed Gautam Gambhir as the mentor of the team in the next season. Under Gambhir’s captainship, KKR lifted the two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 seasons. Gambhir might also urge the team to make necessary changes during the auction.

There are reports that KKR are set to part ways with three pacers. Shardul Thakur, Tim Southee, and Lockie Ferguson are three pacers that KKR might release from the squad ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.

Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders comprises some powerful batters like Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Shreyas Iyer, and Venkatesh Iyer. Among all-rounders, Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan are key members. In the bowling department, Lockie Ferguson, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy are some key names.
