The IPL 2024 auction is set to take place on December 19 in Dubai. Ahead of the auction, all franchises are preparing their retention lists. They are also looking to trade players with other teams.

Punjab Kings has repeatedly failed to reach playoffs for the last few seasons. In the last season too, they could not reach playoffs. Shikhar Dhawan was the skipper of the team. However, the franchise might pick a new skipper in IPL 2024.

Punjab Kings finished as runners-up in the 2014 season. It was their best performance in the tournament. In the IPL 2024 auction, they will aim to grab some powerful names in their squad.

Punjab Kings has not traded any players so far. However, they might drop some players while releasing their retention list. Currently, some strong batters for the team are Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, and Liam Livingstone.
