Punjab Kings (PBKS) are set to play their home games at a new venue in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), according to reports.
The Punjab-based outfit has been playing its home games at the PCA Stadium in Mohali since the inaugural IPL season in 2008. Apart from playing in Mohali, they have also played a handful of their home games in Dharamsala and Indore.
However, Punjab Kings will be playing their home games at the newly built Mullanpur Stadium in Mohali from IPL 2024. The new venue will enhance the experience of the players as well as the fans. The Mullanpur Cricket Stadium boasts cutting-edge features, including the latest floodlights that ensure optimal visibility during night games.

Punjab Kings will be hoping that a change in home venue changes their fortunes too as they desperately eye their first-ever IPL title. They have not managed to progress ahead of the league stage since qualifying for the final in 2014. In 16 seasons of IPL so far, they have managed to make it to the playoffs just twice. In IPL 2023, they finished at the eighth position after managing just 6 wins in 14 games.
