IPL Franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad like all other franchises are busy pondering about the players they are likely to retain ahead of the IPL 2024 auction scheduled on December 19.

Ahead of that, the deadline for the retentions for all teams is November 26. Indian Premier League franchises have until 4 PM on Sunday, November 26 to submit the list of retained and released players to the BCCI ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. Once the deadline ends, the IPL 2024 Retention show will be live on JioCinema & Star Sports to announce the list of players.

All the franchises will have to come down to deciding on the list of retained players by the end of the day on December 26. Several franchises have zeroed in on players they are willing to retain. A few franchises have released some big names ahead of the retention.

A few renowned players like Ben Stokes and Joe Root have opted out of IPL 2024. While Stokes will undergo knee surgery looking to get fully fit, Root’s decision to pull out was confirmed by Kumar Sangakkara, Royals’ Director of Cricket in a statement.

Talking about retentions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, have some tough decisions to make as they look to retain a good core of players. They finished last on the points table in IPL 2023 winning just four out of their 14 games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Likely To Retain All J&K Players Ahead Of IPL 2024 Auction

 

 

They were led by Aiden Markram in the previous season with the franchise having an unsettled top-order. Meanwhile, as per reports, the franchise has decided to retain all their players from the state of Jammu & Kashmir namely, Umran Malik, Abdul Samad, and Vivrant Sharma.

The management spoke very highly of Samad and Umran’s potential as they retained them ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Now along with them, they have also decided to retain Vivrant Sharma, the talented all-rounder.
