Sunrisers Hyderabad will aim for a comeback in IPL 2024 after a regrettable performance in the previous edition. In the 2023 season, Surnisers Hyderabad (SRH) finished in the 10th spot in the IPL 2023 points table.

However, they are one of the few sides who have won the trophy. SRH crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016 to win the title. In IPL 2024 auction, SRH will aim to grab a few big players to form a mighty team.

Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, SRH has parted ways with 6 players. Notably, they have released England batter Harry Brook, who was one of the costliest buys last season. SRH bought him for Rs. 13.25 crores.

Even after finishing as the worst performer last season, SRH has retained 18 players in their squad. They also picked one player from RCB through a trade deal. All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed, who also made his India debut last season, will wear an SRH jersey in the Indian Premier League 2024.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has Rs. 34 crores left in their salary purse. After RCB, they have the highest amount available for the auction. Hence, SRH will be a major player when it comes to bidding at the auction.

SRH has made only one trade ahead of IPL 2024 auction. They have picked Shahbaz Ahmad from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the vice-captain of the team.
