Pure emotions exploded on social media, as Mohammed Siraj and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) paid emotional tribute to each other, as the Indian pacer parted ways with the franchise he represented since 2018, and he made a name for himself in the international arena.
The IPL 2025 mega auction changed the dynamics of the franchises, as Mohammed Siraj is all set to represent Gujarat Titans (GT) from the next edition of the tournament after the 2022 winners snapped him for a whopping INR 12.25 crore in Jeddah.

Siraj attracted intense bidding wars among the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) before the Gujarat Titans (GT) ultimately secured his services at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Surprisingly, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opted against using their Right to Match (RTM) card at the two-day affair, marking the end of their six-year association.

After the auction, Siraj penned an emotional post for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru family. Paying an emotional goodbye to his beloved franchise, the Indian pacer thanked the RCB family for their love and blessings. He posted a video, featuring his time with the RCB, training, performing, and celebrating with his teammates behind the scenes on Instagram.
Along with the heartwarming clip, Mohammed Siraj posted a long message for the RCB and the fans, as he is looking forward to starting his new journey with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2025.
RCB is more than just a franchise: Siraj
Siraj said: “To my dear RCB, saat saal RCB ke saat mere dil ke bahut kareeb hai. As I take a look back on my time in an RCB shirt, my heart is full of gratitude, love, and emotion. The day I first wore the RCB jersey, I never imagined the bond we would form. RCB is more than just a franchise; it’s a feeling, a heartbeat, a family that feels like home.”
The Indian pacer, who is currently on an Australia tour, further noted that from the first ball he bowled in RCB colors to every wicket taken, every match played, and every moment shared with the RCB, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He admitted that there have been ups and downs, but through it all, he had unwavering support from the team.
Thanking the RCB fans for their support and love through ups and downs, Siraj wrote it was the fans’ voices in the stands, messages on social media, and constant belief that kept him going.

He said that the RCB fans are the soul of the franchise while hailing their unmatched trust. Suraj further stressed that there’s no fanbase in the world like RCB fans, saying he will cherish their love, dedication, and loyalty for the rest of his life.
