Indian leg spinner Piyush Chawla picked his all-time XI of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The wrist-spinner went on to pick three legends of Indian cricket Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and the former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the two openers picked by Piyush Chawla in the all-time IPL XI. The premier batters of the Indian National Cricket Team have made a massive impact in the league and are among the leading run-getters in the history of the tournament.

While Kohli is the leading run-getter in the IPL with 8,004 runs in 244 innings. Rohit on the other hand, is third on the list of leading run-getters, with 6,626 runs across 252 innings. He also captained the Mumbai Indians to the five titles in the league, making them the most successful.

At No.3, Piyush Chawla went on to pick Suryakumar Yadav, who is currently the best T20 batter in the world. The Mumbai Indians player, for the last few years, has been consistently performing for the team. In the 150 games, he has amassed around 3600 runs in the tournament.

Chawla also went on to name MS Dhoni in his team. The keeper-batter has been a legend in the league and has made a massive impact. He has mustered 5,243 runs from 229 innings to go with 148 catches and 42 stumpings. He also has won five titles in the league as captain.

Piyush Chawla picked Yuvraj Singh ahead of Suresh Raina in his all-time IPL XI. Yuvraj played a decent role in the league, but Raina, on the other hand, is touted as Mr IPL, and not making the cut into the team raises quite a few eyebrows.

Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers are the two overseas batters picked by Chawla in the team. The duo played a massive role in the league and were unarguably two of the most explosive batters in the league. They are amongst the best overseas players to have played in the league.

In terms of overseas bowlers, Piyush Chawla picked Lasith Malinga and Sunil Narine. While the former Sri Lanka fast bowler played a massive role in the league for Mumbai Indians, Narine, on the other hand, is still going strong and is considered the legend of the league.

Jasprit Bumrah, who is touted as the best India pacer, also has been named in his team. The fast bowler has been the biggest reason for Mumbai Indians' success in the league. Chawla also picked the leg-spinner, whom he didn't name but mentioned that he would make a great impact. Chawla himself has been one of the best spinners in the league. He has picked 192 wickets in the league.
