Samson had a horrible series against the England National Cricket Team. The keeper-batter was exposed against the short ball by the England National Cricket Team pacers, especially against the short balls and the fastballs by Mark Wood and Jofra Archer.
Samson, who hit 3 centuries in 2024, was expected to play a massive role for the team but it didn't happen. On all five occasions, he was dismissed against short balls and also faced a lot of criticism for getting out in a similar manner.
Sanju Samson's next assignment will be the Indian Premier League
Samson, after the injury, would be looking to make a strong comeback. He hasn't been named in the team for the ODI series against the England National Cricket Team and also won't be part of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be played in February.
Samson's next assignment will be the Indian Premier League (IPL). The keeper-batter will be leading Rajasthan Royals in the league and would want to lead from the front and help his team win the first-ever title in the league after 2008.
Sanju Samson has been performing pretty well in the IPL since the last few years
With him failing in the England series, the Indian Premier League will be extremely important for Samson. It is expected that the keeper-batter will be opening the innings, especially after he has been performing the role for the India National Cricket Team.
Since the last few years in IPL, Samson has been performing pretty well in the IPL. He would want to make a massive impact in the league with T20 World 2026 around the corner. With the kind of performances he put in last year for India, he surely will be in contention for the event.
