Alongside the announcement of the date, a confirmation on the venue was also expected; however, no such update has arrived yet. On previous occasions, the auctions were held in Dubai in 2023 and in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah in 2024. However, as per reports, India might be looking to host it themselves on this occasion.

The IPL retention deadline has been set as the 15th of November, and hence, every team will have to pick their retained players and also regulate their purse ahead of the upcoming mini-auction, the dates for which have been announced.

WPL auction to be held at the end of November, several big names in the mix for the auction pool

On the other hand, the Women's Premier League will have their mega-auction as it looks forward to its fourth season. It is all set to take place on the 27th of November in Delhi and will be the first mega-auction in the history of the WPL since the inaugural season.

This also marks the first time that the WPL auction will witness the use of the Right-to-Match, or RTM, cards. Releases of some well-known players have also been made by the franchises, who might make good use of this facility.

Some prominent names like Alyssa Healy, former Australian skipper Meg Lanning, India's World Cup Player of the Tournament Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, Amelia Kerr, Laura Wolvaardt, and many others will enter the auction for the next season.

Cameron Green will be joined by a few stars for the mini-auction

Cameron Green, the big Australian all-rounder, is most likely expected to be the costliest among players in the upcoming season of the IPL. However, alongside the big Australian all-rounder, there will be more players who might be brought into the auction after being released from their teams.

The likes of Sam Curran and Devon Conway might be released by CSK, while if the Royals cannot land a deal, they will release Sanju Samson into the auction table. Delhi Capitals might see a huge hike to their purse with the release of T. Natrajan, Mitchell Starc, and more.

LSG are another franchise that might be parting ways with their pace deck, who remained injured throughout the previous season, and David Miller, who looked ineffective. KKR might send off Quinton de Kock despite his return to international cricket, and the Punjab Kings might be saying goodbye to a few of their huge bunch of Australian cricketers.
