The Delhi Capitals have retained most of their Indian core while trading Daniel Sams and Harshal Patel to the Royal Challenger Bangalore in the trading window. They acquired the services of Steve Smith, Umesh Yadav, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, Lukman Meriwala, Ripal Patel, Vishnu Vinod, and Manimaran Siddharth in the recently concluded auction in Chennai for the IPL 2021.

Iyer Focusing On Keeping Things Simple
Shreyas Iyer mentioned that the team is focusing on the routine and to keep things instead of complicating them. The last two seasons have been superb for the Delhi Capitals who managed to get to the playoffs consecutively in 2019 and 2020.
“We need to keep things simple and focus on our processes, which we have been following in the last two seasons. We need to stick to the same routine and not complicate things. We need to see to it that we stick to the basics and get the best out of ourselves” said Iyer

Shreyas Iyer will be hoping to get the services of the Proteas pacers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje throughout the tournament as Pakistan have recently confirmed their tour to South Africa.
