Wouldn't Be Surprised If James Anderson Ends Up At Chennai Super Kings - Michael Vaughan
During a conversation on the Club Prairie Fire podcast with Adam Gilchrist and others, Michael Vaughan said that James Anderson could be picked by Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025 auction. Vaughan highlighted that CSK might prefer bowlers who can swing the ball early in the powerplay.
"I'm just going to throw a little bit of something. I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy Anderson ends up at Chennai Super Kings. Okay. You heard it here on the pod first. They are the team that likes someone to swing it inside the first few overs," Vaughan said.
"They've always had a swinger where it's Shardul Thakur. There's been many that have kind of just rocked up and bowled a bit of swing. It would not surprise me if Jimmy Anderson is with Chennai," he added.

Following his retirement, he joined the England team as a mentor to help nurture young players during the recent Test series.
Several IPL teams, including the Chennai Super Kings, may target James Anderson as a player-cum-bowling coach in the upcoming mega auction. Dwayne Bravo left CSK to join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their mentor. Bravo replaced Gautam Gambhir, who was appointed as Team India’s head coach.
