Lucknow Super Gians fast bowler Mohsin Khan heaped massive praise on former India National Cricket Team skipper MS Dhoni. While calling keeper-batter his idol, he said that watching the Chennai Super Kings batter play gives him joy.

MS Dhoni, no doubt, is one of the biggest names in Indian cricket. The things that he has done for the Men in Blue, as well as the Chennai Super Kings, have been nothing short of exceptional. His contribution to the game is immense which is why he celebrated hugely.

It is because of his stature as a player that many players idolize him and see him as a role model. One among them is young Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Mohsin Khan, who showed his admiration for the former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.

Mohsin Khan, who calls MS Dhoni his idol, was in awe of the way the keeper-batter hit sixes and finished the game. The left-arm pacer recalled Dhoni's iconic match-winning six from the 2011 ODI World Cup final, saying it remains his favorite cricketing moment. Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, he explained:

"Dhoni bhai is my idol. Woh jo chakke maarte hai end mein jaake (The way he hits those sixes in the end is unbelievable). I was just 13 or 14 years old at the time, watching the final. As soon as he hit that six, it felt like a Diwali celebration everywhere."

Mohsin Khan was asked why he hadn't expressed his admiration in front of Dhoni, replying to this, the keeper-batter said that he gets nervous when he sees the keeper-batter, claiming that he is not able to talk to him. He added:

"I feel happy just seeing him from a far. Main samne se baat nhi kar pata hu (I can't talk to him directly), but watching him gives me joy."

It is almost confirmed that MS Dhoni will be playing in IPL 2025

It is almost confirmed that if MS Dhoni will be playing in IPL 2025, he will be retained as the uncapped player. This comes after BCCI reintroduced the uncapped player rule. He retired from international cricket in 2019 and this allows him to be placed as an uncapped player as per the latest IPL rules.

Dhoni was part of Chennai Super Kings for all the games in the last season. Even though he was battling a knee issue, he entertained the crowd big time with his power-hitting. He scored 161 runs at a strike rate of 220, this all came when he batted down the order.
