IPL 2021 is set to entertain Indian cricket fans from next month. IPL 2021 will begin with the first match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 9, 2021. With the start of IPL 2021, the race for the title will begin. The IPL is a high-scoring tournament where many players score a lot of runs. Every tournament awards a player with an orange cap. The orange cap is awarded to the player who scores the maximum runs in the tournament.

Shaun Marsh was the highest run-scorer in the first IPL tournament in 2008. While playing for Punjab Kings, Shaun Marsh smashed a maximum of 616 runs in 11 matches in IPL 2008 and won the orange cap.

Chennai Super Kings player Matthew Hayden won the orange cap in IPL 2009. Hayden scored 572 runs in 12 matches in the tournament, the most runs by any other player.

Former Mumbai Indians’ player Sachin Tendulkar was the highest run-scorer in IPL 2010 and won the orange cap. The master blaster Sachin Tendulkar smashed 618 runs in 15 matches.
