The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match no. 46 was between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The match was a low-scoring thriller as it went down to the wire, and Shubman Gill's side had their revenge on the table toppers by winning the game by 4 wickets, now PBKS have lost two matches in a row.

Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first, with Nishant Sindhu coming in for Shahrukh Khan. As the former also made his debut in the IPL, PBKS made two changes from the last match, with Xavier Bartlett coming in along with Vyshak Vijaykumar, with Lockie Ferguson and Harpreet Brar making way.

IPL 2026: GT vs PBKS Match Result:

After being put into bat first, PBKS lost Priyansh Arya in the first over, with Mohammed Siraj striking in the second ball of the gam. On the very next ball, Cooper Connolly was dismissed for a golden duck, with a jaffer delivery from the Hyderabad pacer. The wickets kept on tumbling as they lost four wickets before 10 overs.

Shreyas Iyer went back after scoring 19 runs as PBKS??? half the side was back with the score being 47/5. Then Marcus Stoinis and Suryansh Shedge stitched a fifty-run partnership, and the latter brought up his fifty in 24 balls. The batter was dismissed after playing a superb knock of 57 runs, with Rabada picking the wicket.

Stoinis kept the runs ticking, but was dismissed on the score of 40 runs, in the form of the 7th wicket for the Kings. Holder picked the big wicket, and then in the very next ball, Bartlett was also dismissed for a golden duck. PBKS made a good comeback and scored 163/9 in their 20 overs.

Coming out to chase, Shubman Gill was back in the pavilion after scoring five runs, then Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler stitched a 53-run partnership, and the latter was dismissed after making 26 runs. Nishant Sindhu did not trouble the bowlers and was back for 15 runs.

Sai Sudharsan scored a brilliant half-century off 37 balls and kept hold of one end; he was back after scoring 57 runs. After that, Rahul Tewatia could not trouble the bowlers, and PBKS made a good comeback, but the Titans took the game away in the second last ball with Washington Sundar playing an unbeaten knock of 40 runs.
