Coming out to chase, openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan had a cautious start, as they were scoring just over 6 runs per over, and LSG bowlers Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav bowled really well in the first four overs. Then, the two took charge and scored runs; however, in the final over of the power play, Sai was dismissed.
Then Subhman Gill and Jos Buttler took charge. The former brought up his half-century in 34 balls, and Buttler was also playing the role of the aggressor and brought his fifty in just 29 balls, which was his 100th fifty in the shorter format of the game.
The former was back in the pavilion on the score of 56 off 40 balls. Buttler was also back in the pavilion after playing a brilliant knock of 60 off 37. The LSG vs GT had some twists after the wicket of Buttler, but ultimately, GT went on to gather the two points.
