The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was host to two games on Saturday (12th April). LSG vs GT was the first game that took place at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and SRH vs PBKS was the second, which took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
In LSG vs GT, Lucknow Super Giants completed another dominating win in the IPL 2025 as they beat Gujarat Titans by six wickets. Asked to bat, the visitors had a powerful start to their innings as skipper Shubman Gill (60) and Sai Sudharsan (56) put the opposition under massive pressure.
Both the batters got to their half-centuries and stitched 120 runs for the opening stand. However, after that, the visitors made a terrific comeback and reduced the opposition to 145 for four. Sherfane Rutherford (22) looked to score big but couldn't. Lucknow kept chipping in with regular wickets and restricted Gujarat Titans to a total of 180 for six.
Skipper Rishabh Pant (21) opened the innings for Lucknow Super Giants along with Aiden Markram (58) and the duo took their team off to a flyer. They added 65 runs for the opening stand before Nicholas Pooran (61), at three, played another blinder.
He, along with Markram, added 58 runs for the second wicket to take their team close to the target. Later, Ayush Badoni (28*) played a decent hand as Lucknow Super Giants chased the target with six wickets in hand.
In SRH vs PBKS, Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashed Punjab Kings by eight wickets. Opting to bat, the visitors had a brutal start to their innings as Priyansh Arya (36) and Prabhsimran Singh (42) went berserk.
The duo added 66 runs for the opening wicket, and after that, skipper Shreyas Iyer (82) played one of his best IPL innings. The captain, along with Nehal Wadhera (27), added 73 runs for the third wicket to put the team in a solid position. In the end, Marcus Stoinis (34*) played a brutal cameo to power the Punjab Kings to the massive total of 245 for six.
The chase was all about Abhishek Sharma (141) as he played the best innings of his career. The opening batter got great support from his partner Travis Head (66) as the duo added 171 runs for the first wicket.
Abhishek batted till the 17th over and took the game away from the opposition. Heinrich Klaasen (21*) then finished the job as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased the target with eight wickets in hand to win SRH vs PBKS game

After LSG vs GT Match 26 & SRH vs PBKS Match 27 - IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals moved to the top of the table followed by Gujarat Titans at two. Lucknow Super Giants is at three followed by Kolkata Knight Riders at four. Royal Challengers Bengaluru dropped to 5th while Punjab Kings moved down to 6th. Sunrisers Hyderabad moved to 8th while Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are last on the table.
