PBKS vs KKR: Punjab Kings hosted Kolkata Knight Riders in the 31st Match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams took place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

Punjab Kings registered another win as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs. The Shreyas Iyer-led side won the toss and opted to bat first and the decision didn't go in their favour as they had a terrible outing with the bat.

Punjab Kings had a brutal start to their innings as Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (30) continued their golden form, adding 39 runs for the opening stand. However, after that, the hosts had a terrible collapse with Kolkata bowlers cashing in on the false shots by batters.

Harshit Rana picked the top three wickets before spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine asserted their authority. No Punjab Kings batter apart from openers could go past the 20-run mark as Kolkata Knight Riders ended their innings on just 111 inside 16 overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders had a shaky start to their innings with both the openers Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine bagging low scores. After that skipper, Ajinkya Rahane (17) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37) steadied the ship with their 55-run stand.

However, the introduction of Yuzvendra Chahal changed the course of the game as Punjab made a brilliant comeback. The leg-spinner picked four wickets in a flash to leave Kolkata Knight Riders tottering at 79 for eight.

Andre Russell (17) hit a few blows to bring his team back but he couldn't take his side home as Punjab Kings bundled out Kolkata for 95 to win the game by 16 runs.
