IPL team owner calls for Gautam Gambhir's sacking after BGT 2024-25 debacle

Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal has targeted India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir after the team's 3-1 loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He said that it's high for the BCCI to keep different coaching staff for white-ball and red-ball teams.
India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir has come under massive pump after the team's shambolic outing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The Rohit Sharma-led side suffered a disappointing 3-1 series loss and also were eliminated from the ongoing World Test Championship Cycle.

Many have held head coach Gautam Gambhir responsible for the loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The tactics that the India National Cricket Team adopted were questionable, and even the selection of the team wasn't impressive throughout the entire series.
The India National Cricket Team batters struggled to be consistent throughout the series. In the bowling department, too, it seemed that it was only Jasprit Bumrah who was carrying the team as he hardly got support in the phases where the team had a chance to take the momentum.
While India's performance throughout the series was poor, there was also some off-field drama. It was learned, as per the reports, that head coach Gautam Gambhir wanted the team to play his way and told the players to curb their natural game tactics as well.

With India being outclassed by Australia, Parth Jindal made a bold remark, saying that nothing was up to the mark for the team. While criticizing Gautam Gambhir, he said that the BCCI needs to separate the coaching staff for the two formats. Taking to his Twitter account, he said:
"No doubt that Australia has been the better team throughout this series - the Indian team selection, the batting display, and the off-the-field drama have not been up to the mark. Time for the selectors, the Board and the think tank to realise that red ball cricket and white ball cricket and its coaching staff need to be separated."

Parth Jindal further added that with the game evolving, young players are focusing on white-ball cricket. He urged BCCI to identify and hone red ball players before congratulating Australia and South Africa for reaching the final of the World Test Championship. He explained:
"The game has evolved and most youngsters are prioritising white ball and hence important to identify and hone red ball players and give them a platform to perform. Congratulations to South Africa and mostly Australia for a deserving place in the WTC finals."
