The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the bilateral series with Ireland next month. On Saturday, October 4, the BCB confirmed that Ireland will tour Bangladesh in November to play a two-match Test series and a three-match T20I series.

The Ireland National Cricket Team will arrive in Bangladesh on November 6 for the upcoming bilateral series. Ireland’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh kicks off with a two-match Test series.

The second Test is a significant occasion for Bangladesh, as the seasoned wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim is set to achieve the rare milestone of 100 Test matches for the country. After the conclusion of the two-match Test series, Bangladesh and Ireland will head to Chattogram for a three-match T20I series on November 24.

The first T20I is slated for November 27 at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium, followed by the second and third T20Is on November 29 and December 2, respectively, at the same venue.

Ireland hopes to recover while Bangladesh aims to extend dominance

Bangladesh will come into the Test series with mixed form. They recently played a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in June, losing 1-0. However, the Tigers have been in good form in the T20I cricket. Bangladesh is currently leading 2-0 in the ongoing three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in the UAE.

On the other hand, Ireland is coming into the Bangladesh tour with their own highs and lows. They recorded a memorable Test victory against Zimbabwe in February, winning by 63 runs. However, their recent T20I campaign against England in September ended in disappointment.

The Ireland team lost the T20I series 2-0 to England. This tour gives Ireland a chance to bounce back and test themselves in subcontinental conditions against a rising Bangladesh side.

West Indies to tour Bangladesh for white-ball series in October

Earlier, BCB also announced the white-ball tour of the West Indies later this month. The West Indies cricket team is currently playing a two-match Test series in India. They have already faced a crushing one-innings and 140-run defeat in the first Test against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Caribbean side will now face India in the second and final Test in Delhi, starting on October 10. After the India tour, the West Indies side will travel to Bangladesh for the white-ball series. The Tigers and West Indies will play three ODIs and three T20Is from October 18.

First ODI is slated for October 18 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, followed by the second and third games on October 20 and October 23, respectively, at the same venue. Also, the T20I leg of the tour will begin on October 26 at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium.

The second T20I and final game will also be played at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium on October 28 and 31, respectively.
