Rohit Sharma silenced his critics with a stunning century in the third and final ODI against England at Lord's Cricket Ground, London, on Sunday. The India captain smashed 138 off just 110 deliveries, lacing his innings with 17 fours and five sixes. His amazing knock also put an end to the retirement speculation.

While speaking on Cricinfo, Abhinav Mukund shared his views on Rohit Sharma’s innings and described the knock as one of the best knocks under pressure by the former India captain. Though India lost the match, Rohit’s knock answered all the questions about his form and future in ODI cricket.
"I think this is what Rohit Sharma prides himself on and that's why he will go down in our game as one of the greats that's played this sport. And under pressure, a lot of people thrive and pressure brings out the best. I think it was a statement that came at a time when there were so many rumors circulating."

Abhinav Mukund seeks clarity over Rohit Sharma's future
Despite the record-breaking knock from Rohit, Abhinav Mukund feels that his future is still not safe due to the lack of clarity from the Team India management towards the former captain, as the rumours of him not playing the ODI World Cup 2027 will not stop until there is a proper seal on his place or clarity on his future.
"This question will keep coming unless there is clarity given by someone from the management or someone even from Rohit Sharma saying I will continue to play till 2027 or I won't. The issue will not rest until there is proper clarity and it will be sealed and stamped with an envelope."
England outplayed India in 3rd ODI
Coming to the match, India lost the series 1-2 after losing the final match by 27 runs. England, after winning the toss, opted to bat first and put up a massive total of 388 runs, with Ben Duckett playing a brilliant knock of 141 runs and Jacob Bethell scoring 91 runs, and the final touch was provided by Joe Root (74*) and Jos Buttler (41*).
For India, Shubman Gill and Rohit gave a solid start. Gill was dismissed for 77 runs, and Virat Kohli scored 74 on his probable final tour to England. The middle order of India failed to pile up the runs as they fell short and scored 360/7.
Now the Men in Blue shift to T20Is again as they will be touring Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I tour starting from Thursday.
