How did RCB perform in the previous IPL match against DC?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) suffered a defeat to Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in their previous IPL match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 10.
Sent into bat first, RCB got off to a flying start, smashing 53 runs inside the first three overs without losing a wicket. Phil Salt led the charge with a blistering 37 off 17 balls. However, after his dismissal, RCB lost momentum, and Kuldeep Yadav (2/17) and Vipraj Nigam (2/18) triggered a collapse, reducing RCB from 61/0 to 125/7. In the end, Tim David slammed an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls to help RCB finish on 163/7.
With a decent total on the board, RCB came out firing with the ball. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck twice inside the powerplay, and Yash Dayal removed Faf du Plessis early, leaving DC reeling at 30/3. Also, Axar Patel fell at 58/4 and RCB sensed victory.
However, RCB failed to capitalize as KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs built an amazing 111-run partnership, with the Indian star hammering an unbeaten 93 off 53 deliveries while Stubbs scored a crucial 38* off 23, as DC chased down the target in just 17.5 overs.
