Jake Fraser-McGurk UNSOLD at IPL Auction 2026
Australian youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk had quickly caught the spotlight after his debut for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL back in 2024. With a stunning debut season, McGurk was a highly invested player, but only to the disappointment of the Capitals. Him bagging an IPL 2026 contract was improbable.
The teams regarded his poor form and did not invest a fair amount of money in the former Delhi Capitals opener. The opener has been snubbed by the Australian side as well, while he was last seen in the Major League Cricket 2025 with the San Francisco Unicorns.
Jake Fraser-McGurk is playing for Melbourne Renegades in the BBL
The 23-year-old Australian cricketer made his debut in the IPL back in 2024, but has been playing the BBL since 2020.
The South Australian cricketer plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League but has yet to have a promising season.
Though known for his brute striking and his ability to score very quick runs at the top, JFM has often been criticized for his inconsistency with the bat.
Jake Fraser-McGurk's IPL numbers
Playing for the Delhi Capitals, he gathered 330 runs in 9 innings in 2024 and then could manage just 55 runs in the following season of 2025 in 6 games.
Flaunting this terrible record and his absence from any major global league since then made his selection highly improbable for any franchise. He even started off the BBL on a poor note, as he was dismissed for just 14 against the Brisbane Heat.
