James Anderson has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1.25 crore. The England legend is eyeing his maiden IPL contract in this year's auction.
Earlier this year, Anderson brought down the curtains on his illustrious Test career. He ended his glorious career with a staggering 704 wickets from 188 games. Even though he is one of the greatest Test bowlers of all time, James Anderson is not known for his exploits in T20s.
He has not played a T20 since 2014 while his last T20I appearance for England came way back in 2009. At 42, he is the oldest player in this year's auction and is hoping to get a chance to showcase his talent in the IPL. Even though the odds are stacked against him, Anderson has not shied away from throwing his hat in the ring.
"There is still definitely something in me that thinks I can still play. I have never done the IPL. I have never experienced it, and I think for several reasons I feel like I have more to give as a player," Anderson said recently.
