Jason Gillespie EXPOSES 'clown' Aaqib Javed’s dirty politics against him and Gary Kirsten

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team head coach Jason Gillespie has accused the current coach of the team of conspiracy against him and Gary Kirsten. He called Aaqib Javed a clown, saying that he played a huge role in his sacking to get the all-format coaching.

Pakistan National Cricket Team has been under serious scanner for the last few months. Things got even worse for them when they faced the group stage exit in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, an ICC event that they are hosting for the first time in 29 years.

Pakistan National Cricket Team failed to win a single game in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as they ended the group stage last on the table. This was also the first time that the hosting country failed to win a single match in the ICC event, as they lost to New Zealand and India.

The entire Pakistan National Cricket Team, including head coach Aaqib Javed, faced a lot of criticism for the poor outing. There were a lot of reports which suggested that the head coach would be sacked, but it wasn't the case, as he has been retained and will be coaching the team in the upcoming New Zealand tour.

Pakistan made some bold steps for the New Zealand tour. The PCB named an entirely different team in the T20Is, dropping big names in Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Head coach Aaqib Javed, during the press conference, was asked about the reasons behind the poor performances of the team.

Aaqib Javed, however, blamed PCB for chopping and changing coaches. He said that the board roped in 16 coaches and 26 selectors in the last 2 and a half years, and this has caused the cricket in the country to suffer. He said:

“In our system, you can never completely rule anyone out. It’s not like we are putting a cross over their names and saying they are done. Right now, we are trying to shape a new approach and mindset. But that does not mean that experienced players do not have a role to play in the future,”

Reacting to his statement, Jason Gillespie came up with a shocking reply. He said that Aaqib Javed was a clown and blamed him for conspiracy.

“This is hilarious. Aaqib was clearly undermining Gary and me behind the scenes, campaigning to be the coach in all formats. He is a clown,” Gillespie posted on Threads.

After the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan roped in two separate coaches for white-ball and red-ball teams. While Gary Kirsten was appointed as T20I and ODI coach, Jason Gillespie was the red ball coach. However, in the middle of their contract, they were sacked.
