England opener Jason Roy picked his former skipper Eoin Morgan over MS Dhoni as a leader of the team. The batter, who is currently part of the Chennai Braves in the ongoing T10 league was asked to choose between one.

During an interaction on ESPNCricinfo, Jason Roy was asked who he would bring among MS Dhoni and Eoin Morgan as a surprise captain midway through the tournament for the Chennai Braves. The English opener didn’t hesitate and stated Morgan, who led England to 2019 World Cup victory.

MS Dhoni and Eoin Morgan are considered two of the best captains in the game of cricket. The duo has achieved great heights as a leader for their respective teams and are one of the major reasons behind the success of their national teams.

MS Dhoni made Men in Blue the dominant force in world cricket. He won every ICC trophy affiliated with the white ball and even made India No.1 in Tests. On the other hand, Eoin Morgan is credited for changing the dynamics of English cricket and also leading the team to their first-ever World Cup victory in 2019.

Jason Roy, on the other hand, has been in good form in the ongoing T10 league. The batter has smashed 104 runs in 5 games at a strike rate of over 170. He also has smashed 1 half-century so far with the highest score of over unbeaten 84.

Jason Roy Picks Shubman Gill over Harry Brook as best young batter

Apart from picking one between MS Dhoni and Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy was also asked to pick one between Shubman Gill and Harry Brook as a future of batting. The England opener found it difficult to answer but went with an Indian batter in the end.

Jason Roy preferred hitting a T10 century over hitting 6 sixes in an over. He also said that he would be more comfortable facing Jasprit Bumrah rather than Jofra Archer. He was also asked to pick between the T10 league and the Hundred. Being the English guy, he went with the latter.
