Champion Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah seems to be having a busy time in the nets ahead of the upcoming Test series against England.

The preparations for the marquee Test series against Joe Root’s England are in full flow in the Indian camp as they aim to start afresh after a disappointing end to their WTC campaign against eventual champions New Zealand earlier in the summer.

The Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been posting pictures and videos from Team India’s practice sessions at Trent Bridge- the venue of the first Test.

On Sunday, the BCCI Twitter handle posted a rather interesting image of Jasprit Bumrah where the ace fast bowler can be seen bowling in the nets with his pads on.

The caption with which the BCCI admin posted the image aptly summed up what everyone is thinking after looking at the picture.

“He is having a really busy session in the nets. ? #TeamIndia #ENGvIND” read the caption.

This will be a crucial series for Jasprit Bumrah as he’ll be aiming to shrug off a rare blip he endured during the World Test Championship final against New Zealand.

Bumrah endured a nightmare outing against the Kiwis in the WTC final as he looked rusty and short of match practice.

He did manage to get back close to his best during the dying stages of the final but by then it was too little too late.

Bumrah returned wicketless and he was subjected to heavy criticism by the Indian fans.

The champion pacer will be looking to set the tone early in the series with his performance at a venue where he claimed a five-wicket-haul back in 2018.
