India National Cricket Team pacer Jasprit Bumrah achieved an unwanted feat to his name in Test cricket. The premier fast bowler registered his most expensive figures in an innings in the longest format of the game after he returned with figures of 4/99 against the Australia National Cricket Team.

Jasprit Bumrah achieved the unwanted feat during day two of the ongoing fourth Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The Boxing-day Test between the teams is taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

Jasprit Bumrah didn't look at his best with the ball at the Melbourne Cricket Ground

Bumrah, who has been the best bowler in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, didn't look at his best with the ball in the Melbourne game. The fast bowler lost his rhythm early on after the Australia National Cricket Team batter Sam Konstas took him to the cleaners on his debut.

Sam Konstas slammed Bumrah all over the park as he played reverse scoops against him and also charged him down. The Australia National Cricket Team debutant also slammed two sixes against the premier India National Cricket Team pacer, and this saw the fast bowler achieving a historic low.

For the second time, Jasprit Bumrah conceded more than one six in an innings, the first time he was smashed for a maximum of three or more times

This was the first time in 4562 deliveries that Bumrah conceded a six in Test cricket. In the ongoing game, the fast bowler smashed for four maximums in the first innings. Sam Konstas hit two against the pacer, joining Jos Buttler as the only second batter to hit multiple sixes off Bumrah in Test cricket.

Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc also hit Bumrah for one maximum each This marked only the second time Bumrah conceded more than one six in an innings (after England's first innings in 2018 at the Oval) and the first time he was smashed for a maximum three or more times.

For the first time in his career, Jasprit Bumrah conceded more than 90 runs in an inning in his career in Tests

Bumrah gave away 99 runs in his spell, which saw him bowling 28.4 overs. He also picked four wickets during his spell. But this saw the pacer concede more than 90 runs in an innings in his career in Tests for the first time.
