Jasprit Bumrah, Harmanpreet Kaur in 30 Under 30 list of Forbes India

Team India’s death-bowling specialist Jasprit Bumrah is named alongside India women’s team batting prodigy Harmanpreet Kaur are in the list of celebrated professionals who have done something remarkable according to the Forbes India in its 30 under 30 series.
However, it is the fifth batch owing to the India 30 under 30 when it comes to the representation of the nation at the highest level.
To be precise, the 30 under 30 concept is the age bar of 30 until December 31, 2017.
“The extent of impact of their achievements, and their ability to disrupt the status quo; scalability of the business or line of work and; their potential to stay a long-term player,” Forbes maintained.

In the recent past, the sports stars have had already found their way to feature in the prestigious magazine and this time around it had 15 categories to pick regarding the achievement in a nutshell.
Being the part of Forbes India which started celebrating the ‘twenty-somethings’ for shaping modern India.
The 24-year-old Bumrah, unorthodox in action has been impressive with the white-ball which further saw him winning the trust of national selectors when he earned the Test cap in the recently concluded Test series against South Africa.

In 2017, Bumrah bagged 39 wickets in 23 outings to finish the year with the third highest wicket-taker in the One-day Internationals before he was inducted in the ODI Team of the Year, 2017 by the world cricket governing body International cricket council.
Ahmedabad-born Bumrah played 33 One-day Internationals, 32 Twenty20 Internationals and three Tests for India as he is emerging as the key player for the national fold.

Pertinently, Bumrah came into the spotlight when he made his brilliant entry into the lucrative Twenty20 Indian Premier League (IPL).
After his international appearance against Australia at Sydney, Bumrah went on to bag 112 wickets across formats.

In December 2016, Harmanpreet became the first Indian woman cricketer to play in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL). However, it was in the ICC Women’s World Cup semifinal last year when she played perhaps her most important innings, smacking 171 off a mere 115 balls against Australia to fire India into the final.
On the other side, Harmanpreet was outstanding with the bat in the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup semi-final which further saw her grabbing the headlines for the blazing 115-ball knock of 171 which came against Australia in the semi-final clash.

Interestingly, in 2016, Harmanpreet become the first-ever woman player from India to feature in the cash-rich Big Bash League which is being held every year under the ambit of Cricket Australia.
The batting all-rounder Harmanpreet represented women’s team in 78 ODIs, 68 T20Is and two Tests.
The 28-year-old Punjab-based star bagged 42 wickets across formats and scored 2,025 runs in 50-over format and 1,223 runs in the shorter version of the game.
