Jasprit Bumrah has been officially released from the Test squad by the BCCI ahead of the second day's play at the Oval.
The India vs England fifth Test is currently underway at the Kennington Oval, and India has missed the services of legendary pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is also their highest wicket-taker of the series. Bumrah has been stunning for India on another occasion with 14 wickets in 5 innings at an average of 26.
Jasprit Bumrah's snub had created a huge outrage from the ICT fans; however, if injury rules him out, no one has a word to say, but the Indian management's workload management issues were not dealt with nicely by the Indian fans as well as several cricket experts.
Jasprit Bumrah released from the Test squad
The BCCI has finally announced the official squad update for the fifth Test, and Jasprit Bumrah has been released.
Bumrah has possibly missed the final Test due to workload management. Notably, during the fourth Test in Manchester, the ace pacer bowled 33 overs, and his pace saw a significant dip after he faced some ankle issues.
BCCI announced India's updated Squad: Shubman Gill (C), KL Rahul (VC), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Anshul Kamboj, Arshdeep Singh, and N. Jagadeesan (WK).

BCCI issues stern warning for Jasprit Bumrah
The BCCI has decided to bring certain changes to its plan regarding the selection of Jasprit Bumrah for Test matches in the upcoming Test series, which will be played in the future.
In a recent report from the Times of India, the BCCI has revealed that Jasprit Bumrah would be considered for selection into the Test side only if he is available and fit enough to feature in every game of the series. Unlike the England series, where Bumrah featured in just 3 games, as he had informed earlier before the start of the series.
The BCCI has revealed that though there are no more than 5-match Test series in the near future for the Indian team, this consideration has been made, and Bumrah's workload still remains to be a question since he plays across all three formats for India and is considered a valuable asset across all three.
Indian batters' struggles continue on Day 2 at The Oval
The Oval pitch is absolutely turning out to be a nightmare for the Indian batters, even more than the Lord's track, where they failed to chase down a modest 192. The Pitch's behaviour has been very uncertain throughout the two days' play.
Not only were there dismissals of the batters, but also the balls went past the outside edge of the batters on several occasions. India began Day 2 with two big wickets of a set: Karun Nair, who was sent back by Josh Tongue, and Washington Sundar, who followed in the very next over of Gus Atkinson.
Mohammed Siraj's stay was even shorter on the ground, as Atkinson returned to rattle his stumps and then sent Krishna back just two balls later to claim his five-wicket haul on his return to the English side. India has lost 4 wickets for 20 runs in the session as the tail winds up for just 224 runs on the board.
